Happy Friday! Like most of the world I am mourning the loss of Queen Elizabeth. Although she was at the age of 96, it still is a shock that it has happened. A part of you thinks she is immortal. My heart goes out to the Royal family and to the people of the United Kingdom. Queen Elizabeth was a remarkable woman.

The more I think about the legacy Queen Elizabeth has left behind the more I am blown away by her. She ruled England for 70 years. A woman in charge during decades where women were not even allowed to be more than a secretary. She modernized the Monarchy and joined in on Pop Culture. Although she was an incredible leader and Queen, what saddens me the most is knowing there will not be another Queen in my lifetime. Nothing against King Charles, Prince William, or Prince George– I am certain they will do an excellent job- but there was something truly momentous about a woman in charge.

And when the Queen died, while they were lowering the flags half-staff, there were 3 rainbows that appeared. It gives me chills just thinking about it. You can’t tell me this wasn’t some divine creation. That either God or the Queen created those rainbows. I fully believe it. Rainbows signify hope and love. That new blessings are on its way, new beginnings. What a lovely parting gift to give to the nation and to the world.

The rest of my week was all about self-care. My right trapezius is inflamed again, along with my left sciatica. I have been foam rolling, lying on heat pads, doing yoga and stretches, using my massage ball, and putting magnesium and muscle balm all over my body. Monday I went to WTHN for acupuncture. It usually helps when my body becomes inflamed. I do feel a lot better and I released a lot of knots. Hopefully after I go to DanceBody (dancing helps loosen my muscles) this weekend, things will be better.

What I am watching: I am still watching the US Open and all of my regular programs. Last night I started Selling OC on Netflix. It’s the spinoff of Selling Sunset. I have only watched one episode so can’t really give an opinion, nor do I care yet about the drama. It came out strong with drama already happening with the Oppenheim group. I am not sure if I cared for how they did that as I am still trying to learn who is who and they have scenes of people talking behind others backs. I was confused. It has already set up whose side we should be on. I don’t remember Selling Sunset to start off this hot. Christine was still friends with Mary and the drama was a slow burn. With this new group, it feels like they are trying to prove something so the drama is already at its height. I guess I do have an opinion after one episode, ha!  I enjoyed looking at the multi-million dollar homes and I will continue to watch the rest of the season. So far the only two people I like right off the bat is Polly and Brandi.

What I bought: I’ve been browsing for a new fall coat. I ended up buying this reversible quilted jacket so I can switch up my look. It’s currently 40% off and comes in other colors. I bought the white/pink version. I also bought this ice roller to depuff my face in the morning. It also helps calm your skin, prevents wrinkles, relieves migraine pain, and revives tired skin. The last and most important thing I bought this week were tickets to Funny Girl!! I am SO excited to not only see the show, but to also see Lea Michele perform. Like her or not, she is talented.

My original plan this weekend was to go to the Revolve Gallery pop-up in Hudson Yards. Then I found out that you need to reserve a ticket, even though it’s open to the public. And of course it’s completely sold out. I may still try to stop by and see if I can get in, but I also do not want to spend my entire Saturday waiting in line. I may instead head down to Pier 17 to check out the new Tin Building – a massive marketplace in South Street Seaport.  Other then that I will watch a little of the Ohio State game, go to my DanceBody class, read my book, and enjoy the city.

Have a wonderful weekend xo
