“Stop worrying how it’s going to happen

Happy Friday! It’s officially the beginning of autumn! Although I do love summer, I am excited for all the coziness of the fall season. Plus this is the best time of the year with back to back holidays.
This past week was all about self-care. I spent most of last weekend crying on the couch. It was about everything and nothing at the same time. I think I just had a little mental breakdown (with the help of PMS) and needed rest. Needed to recharge and let out whatever it was that I have had cooped up inside of me. I am feeling so much better. Sometimes you just have to take time for yourself, let it all out, and pick yourself up again.
Monday I got up bright and early to watch Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. It was a lovely and heartbreaking tribute to her majesty. I loved the significance of her lone piper, who would wake her up every morning, playing “Sleep, Dearie, Sleep” at the end of the service. It broke me when I saw her corgis and favorite horse there to bid her goodbye. And of course it was hard to watch the family members hold back tears. As said, it was a lovely memorial service to the Queen and I am glad I was able to watch it. She will be missed!
The rest of the week was the usual; work, running errands, and working out. I’ve been really into yoga lately. I usually take a yoga class once a week, but lately I have been doing more yoga than sculpt. I love to stretch and I always feel amazing after yoga. What I love most about the workout that it is not only good for your body but good for your mind as well. I feel calm, centered whenever I do it. I do 30 mins of yoga at home 2 or so times a week through Obé Fitness.
What I am watching: Last weekend I watched the new teen drama movie Do Revenge on Netflix. I really enjoyed it and recommend to watch! It had some twists to it that I wasn’t expecting. I also loved all the little Easter Eggs that paid homage to old teen movies that were sprinkled throughout. The fashion itself is worth watching the movie for. I first couldn’t figure out if it was set in the early 90’s because honestly that was the style vibe I was picking up, but then I remembered Gen Z loves to dress like the 90s/early 2000s.
I watched the finale of The Bachelorette…. what a dumpster fire. I never liked Tino. I never trusted him and I was proven right. What he did was awful, unforgivable, and completely wild he would do it knowing that millions of people are going to find out. And the way he behaved during their breakup was delusional. However, I said this the entire season and I stand by it- Rachel is not ready for marriage. She just wanted a ring. She saw Tino’s red flags and purposely ignored them– like how he kept saying his parents loved her (insert eye roll). I NEED to know what went on between Tino and Rachel that they refuse to talk about. Why did Tino make Rachel go to therapy? I have nothing against therapy and think people should go, but telling someone to go to therapy is a big indicator that that person is struggling through something. Of course we do not have the right know this information, even if they are on a reality show. I am just being nosy. Do I think Aven and Rachel are together? No. Do I want Rachel on BIP? Also no. How weird would it be for her to be on the beach re-dating the men she sent home. Do I want Zach as the next Bachelor? A firm no. Right now I do not want to watch The Bachelor. The whole franchise is a dumpster fire….. see you all for BIP on Tuesday.
What I bought: My favorite feather button-up is back in stock and I just had to grab it in white (I have it in blue). It’s not only perfect for the holidays but to also elevate any outfit throughout the year. Next I bought a new night cream on a whim. I guess IG ads really do work… Anyway, I am not liking my current night cream as it leaves my face feeling a little oily. This night cream has collagen in it – which is mostly why I bought it. Plus it’s only $9. It can be used day or night but since it does not have SPF in it, I will only use it for the evening. The last item I bought this past week is a new book. I am reading the 3rd book of the American Royals Trilogy. I am enjoying it so far!
On The Blog:
This weekend I will be enjoying the final days of DanceBody’s Q3 dances before they present new ones in October. I really enjoyed Q3’s dances but am looking forward to what Q4 has in store. Other than dancing I will be getting ready to head to Essex, CT next week for the New England Coastal Creative conference. So I will probably go shopping this weekend. I already have my outfit planned for my panel discussion but wanted to perhaps get something else incase there is something going on that evening. The rest of my weekend will be filled with enjoying the city, being with friends, and watching The Ohio State game.
Have a wonderful weekend xo
