Happy Friday! Is it just me or did anyone else feel as if this week went on forever? I was chatting with someone, I believe on Wednesday, and said that Columbus day was last week…. Clearly I was wrong. Thanks goodness it’s Friday! This week wasn’t as eventful as the previous week, but I was still very busy. Last weekend I went to DanceBody for my first full-out class of the new quarter. I am loving the 4th quarter dances– especially the Beyoncé one! I also enjoy the Nicki Minaj one as well. This weekend I am planning on doing the breakdown videos to perfect the steps before my next class on Tuesday.

When I was at the New England Coastal Creative conference in Essex, CT a few weeks ago one of the keynote speakers was Sally Holder, owner of The Brimm. The Brimm is a business coaching program for female entrepreneurs. They have different programs like 1-on-1 coaching, The Revenue Accelerator, 30 days to $30K, along with a podcast and other freebies. At the conference they were so generous in gifting us all a free 30 days to $30K program. I started the program this past Monday and have really been enjoying it. I have always written down my longterm goals and my weekly goals for my blog, but I have never broken it down step by step on how to achieve these goals. It’s been an eyeopener for sure. I have to admit that it feels overwhelming, but after chatting with Carla (one of the coaches) she told me it’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed and anxious while doing the program. It’s a good thing really, it means I am stepping out of my comfort zone and leveling up. I know I want to take my brand beyond my blog someday– I have all these ideas floating around but haven’t been able to narrow it down. I am hoping doing The Brimm will help me focus not only on my current goals, but to also get a clearer vision on my next step as well. I highly recommend for all female entrepreneurs, no matter what type of business you own, to check out The Brimm.

What I am watching: Last weekend I finally watched Where The Crawdads Sing. I read the book years ago and loved it. I wanted to see the movie in theaters but never got around to it. I was happy to see that the movie pretty much follows the book. There was only one thing that I can recall missing, but it’s so minor it doesn’t make or break the story. There is something about the ending I do wish was changed. I wished they did a quick showing of what happened. Do not want to get into detail because of spoilers, but I think you can guess what I am talking about– especially if you read the book. Overall I really enjoyed the movie!

What I bought: On a whim I bought these faux leather pants in black. I want an alternative pair of pants for the fall besides jeans. I have faux leather leggings that I religiously wear daily, but I want something a little more elevated. It says it runs large but I still got my true size, size 2, so hoping it’s not too baggy. To go along with the faux leather pants, and for everyday wear, I bought this rollneck sweater in black. I like that it’s longer in length, seems roomy but still fitted. The next thing I bought was a new cleanser during Amazon Prime Day. LAKE Pajamas graciously sent me two items from their holiday collection. I have been wearing both this nightgown and this long-long weekend pajamas set in classic green. I chose the green because it still has a holiday feel to it but can be worn way beyond the season.

This weekend I am planning on going shopping uptown. It’s been a while since I have shopped on Madison Ave. and have been to Bergdorfs – gasp! I want to frolic around the stores and stop by the Louis Vuitton’s 200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries exhibition. Other than shopping till I drop, I will be going on a run if the weather permits, work on my needlepoint project, work on content for the blog, read my new book, and hopefully go to church. It’s been a while since I have been to church, so it’s about time I go. I used to go once a month before the pandemic and I need to get back on this schedule. Overall I will be enjoying another fall weekend here in the city!

Have a wonderful weekend xo
