Happy Friday and happy 11/11! Today is a lucky day for everyone! It’s also a great day to manifest your dreams. I will definitely be writing in my journal today. It’s also Veterans Day and wanted to take a moment to thank all the men and women who have served this country. It’s a day I think about my grandfathers who fought in WWII. I miss them a lot and am proud they served this country.

I’ve been a busy bee lately. This is always the busiest time of the year for blogging. I have been working on gift guides and brand campaigns. It’s been all work and no play…. luckily I love what I do! But don’t worry, I have taken time to get fresh air and walk around the city enjoying the nice fall weather we have been having here lately– well not today, it’s raining, ha!

Last weekend I made gluten free pumpkin bread for the first time– seen here. I think overall it was a successful first attempt. For some reason it is not as fluffy as I would have liked it to be, but at least it still taste good! Luckily the loaf is just for me, so not trying to impress anyone but myself. I enjoyed making the pumpkin bread and am looking forward to doing more baking in the future. This weekend I am attempting to make roasted pumpkin seeds. Just call me the next Ina Garten at this point.

What I am watching: Last weekend I watched the Selena Gomez documentary My Mind and Me. The only way I can describe it is powerful. I think I cried probably 5 times during the entire documentary. It is so raw and real. I give her so much credit for allowing us to see her this way. Even if you do not struggle with mental health at any capacity, it is still relatable in so many ways. We have all felt not good enough at some point in our lives. We beat ourselves up, criticize ourselves for the smallest things. What I admire most about Selena is her ability to show kindness and compassion to others through her struggle. Whether it’s during her episodes of mental health struggles or her issues with her lupus, she continues to care for others. She kept saying throughout the documentary that she is doing this to let people know that they are not alone in their struggle. That in itself alone is so powerful. That alone will help so many people. Because when we go through struggles in life, we sometimes feel like we are alone. You are not alone.

I also watched the sequel to Enola Holmes on Netflix. I really liked it! Milly Bobby Brown does an amazing job as Enola. What I liked most about the movie is that it’s filled with action and humor at the same time. I also liked that it’s very loosely based off of a true story. One in which I have never heard of before– I always appreciate a history lesson.

What I bought: I couldn’t help myself and ended up buying this velvet jeweled button dress for 40% off. It’s perfect for the holidays, but can also be worn past the season. I am planning on wearing it to The Nutcracker this year and/or to a holiday party.

This weekend I currently have nothing on the agenda. It is unfortunately going to rain for most of the weekend, so it may just be a relaxing one. I will, of course, be watching season 5 of The Crown!! I can’t wait to see Prince William and Prince Harry. Other than being a Royal enthusiast, I will be finishing my book, roasting pumpkin seeds, working on content, and hopefully getting some fresh air.

Have a wonderful weekend xo
