“You see in the world what you have in your heart”

-Johann Van Goethe

Happy Friday! I had an unexpected, wonderful week! This is what I love about New York, and life in general, anything can happen.

Last weekend I went to the Louis Vuitton pop-up in Meatpacking. Louis Vuitton has collaborated with the famous contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama for a colorful collection. The two collaborated 10 years ago, and to celebrate the anniversary they put their creative forces together once again for another fun collection. The collection consist of Yayoi Kusama’s signature dots which can be found on Louis Vuitton handbags, clothing, and accessories. The pop-up only carries the collection; displayed in a ceiling to floor polka dot print and lots of disco balls.

The beginning of the week I was feeling, for lack of a better term, blah. I was off and on curled up in bed due to cramps. Also the cold weather wasn’t helping. All I wanted to do was lie in bed and read my book. I pushed through it to get my work done, but it was tough. The rest of my week, however, was a dream come true! Something I have been manifesting for years.

Earlier this year I signed up to be a background actor for tv and movies. This is something I have been wanting to do for years and finally did it! Well Tuesday I got a call from a casting agency asking for my availability. Luckily I was available to shot this past week for….. something. I can’t say what it is yet but I am SO excited to talk about it once I am allowed! The entire day was long but very exciting. I loved every minute of it and felt so grateful to be a part of it! I hope to do more background work in the future.

What I am watching: While feeling not the best I decided to bing watch How I Met Your Father. I used to watch How I Met Your Mother. Albeit not religiously, but enough to know the characters and what happened. Anyway, I am a Hillary Duff fan and I enjoyed the original series, so wanted to check out the spinoff. I am enjoying it so far, as it’s lighthearted and fun. I am curious if they are going to go the same route as the original in terms of who actually is the mother and how the show ended or will do their own ending. I know a lot of people did not like the ending of the original, so maybe this will be a completely different ending. But so far it feels like it’s going the same route. We will see!

I am also watching the new season of the Bachelor. I caved. I originally had no interested in watching this season. It’s nothing personal against Zach, I just think he is a little boring. Which seems to be the consensus of the audience. I decided to watch for a few reasons: get to know the girls for BIP, getting to chat in my Bachelor FB group (don’t judge lol), to listen to podcasts, and to have something to do on Monday nights. I will say that Zach is impressing me with his emotional intelligence thus far. I still do not think a 26 year old guy is ready for marriage. I will stand by this until proven wrong, and I hope that I am. However, when his actions of making out with everyone already, and it’s only episode 2, I think I am not far off in my judgment. However, he seems to be much more mature than I thought he would be. He has handled situations maturely; knowing the right thing to say. We will see how the season goes. And I do wish him the best and hope this is finally a love story. We haven’t had a successful Bachelor since Sean Lowe…. in 2013.

What I bought: The only thing I bought that was new is matcha powder packets. Even though I get my daily dose of matcha from Starbucks I do make it at home a few days a week. Being financially responsible. Lake Pajamas has launched their new collection; I got this coral caftan and this coral kimono set.

This weekend I am going to recuperate from the shoot. I didn’t get home until after 1am. I am still feeling tired and my body aches, but it was worth it! I do want to go uptown to Bergdorf’s to see the Chairish Art Gallery collection. Showcasing over 30 artists, each room on the 7th floor will be themed; pop art, fashion editors, ode to New York, etc. I am hoping I muster the energy to do this, but it is also suppose to be under 20 degrees this weekend. I do not do this type of cold weather. No thank you. I am content with curling up on my couch and reading my book.

Have a wonderful weekend xo
