“Attract them by the way you live”

-Saint Augustine

Happy Friday! It’s been a week of productivity and organization. I recently saw this tweet that said something along the lines of Virgos will clean their apartment and think their life is finally together. That was me this week. I threw away a bunch of old paperwork and products, donated clothes, and deep cleaned my apartment. I am a whole new woman now.

Last weekend I finally went uptown to Bergdorf’s to see their new Chairish gallery. As much as I love to browse the beautiful clothes, there is something about the 7th floor that captivates me. There is so much to get lost in. Anyway, for those unfamiliar with Chairish they are an online marketplace for home decor. They sell unique furniture and art that is either vintage or contemporary. Their gallery at Bergdorf’s consisted of both artwork and home decor. I fell in love with this beautiful large floral painting…. that was $11K. I decided eating and having a place to live was more important. But here’s to dreaming that someday I will be able to afford the painting because it is lovely. Another home decor item that I was loving were these wall mirrors in the shape of an oval with snakes coming out of it. Not something I would personally have in my home, but I loved it nonetheless. If you can, I highly suggest heading to Bergdorf’s to check out the gallery.

While uptown I stopped by the new Hill House Home to try on the Sabrina dress in green vine that I have been eyeing. I wanted try it on before purchasing because I wanted see how low the neckline went and if the small would fit. I do have some room to go down to an x-small but would probably stay with the small. Also the neckline isn’t as plunging as I thought it would be. I could also sew in an extra clasp if I felt like I wanted more coverage. It’s a beautiful dress– perfect for Easter. I also tried on this blue silk halo headband. It’s really cute and something you can wear with any outfit. After Hill House I walked around Rockefeller Center. There were lots of people skating, which was nice to see. I have been in NYC for 12 years and I have never skated at Rockefeller Center or even Central Park. It’s been on my NYC bucket list since I move here, but I just haven’t gotten around to actually doing it. Someday.

What I am watching: I decided to watch the Murdaugh Murders— a 3-part docuseries on Netflix. I have to be honest and say that I really do not know much about the case. I obviously know the gist of what happened, but I haven’t paid attention to the details. I thought the docuseries was very interesting. The whole thing is simply wild. How these people have gotten away with so much corruption and murder with little to no consequence is terrible. I am glad these families are getting at least the start of closure for their loved ones. Even though I watched the docuseries there is still so much I do not know— like all the evidence against Alex Murdaugh. I still am not quite sure how they went from A to B in arresting him. I have looked at a few articles online and I even watched a little of Alex testifying. I am starting to see the painted picture, but need more concrete evidence– my theory is that he hired someone to do it and Paul wasn’t suppose to be there. The whole story is tragic and I hope justice is served.

What I bought: I am heading to Marco Island in a few weeks, so I have started to shop for items to wear. The first being this new floral high rise bikini– top and bottom. I love the beautiful blue color and print, as well as the ruffle trim. I bought it in my normal size small, so we will see if it fits! You never know with swimsuits (insert eye roll). Next I bought this stripe jacket from J.Crew. I bought it in a small and x-small to compare sizes. Last but not least I was influenced by TikTok once again and bought this scalp massager hair brush– in pink. It supposedly helps clean your scalp and get rid of any residue or dry skin. Also promotes healthy hair growth.

LTK Spotlight: J.Crew New Arrivals

Today I am getting my hair done and I am very excited to refresh my blonde highlights. Then tomorrow I am meeting up with a friend of mine for brunch. I haven’t seen her since the fall, so I am excited to catch up. The rest of my weekend will be filled with even more prep for my mirror project. I have the primer, paint and brushes, I just need the stencil. I may start painting this weekend– at least get the primer and paint done. Other than that I will be getting a new book, working out, and enjoying the city.

Have a wonderful weekend xo
