Happy Friday and happy Mother’s Day! Unfortunately I will not be with my mother this weekend. However I am going to be in Ohio at the end of this month, so we will celebrate then! I did buy her these very cute floral garden gloves. She loves them and will use them a lot this spring and summer.

Last Sunday I went uptown to Central Park to have a picnic with friends. It was a beautiful day and the park was buzzing with people. We brought snacks and drinks and had a lazy afternoon. It was exactly what I needed. It ended up being a large group of us because people were inviting friends of friends. Which was really nice! I chatted with a new friend over books, played with people’s dogs, aww’d over babies, and enjoyed the sunshine. It was the perfect Sunday!

The rest of my week I have been creating content, updating my blog, and checking things off my to-do list. I had a photoshoot yesterday morning. We shot around Washington Sq. Park. I shot with Kate McReynolds, who is also a friend. It was nice to catch up since I haven’t seen her in a few months.

I finally updated my Shop section on my blog (found on the menu bar). We both know it looked awful and needed a facelift. It wasn’t user friendly. Normally I would have hired a web designer to do it, but luckily a website design sorta fell into my lap. I was able to do a self-service plug-in and customize it myself. I am still going to play around with the appearance a little but the layout will most likely stay like this until I decide to upgrade it. Anyway, to give you a quick layout tour: on top you can click on the 3 large images that link to my LTK page for you to shop my recent Instagram and TikTok photos (I get commission off of it). When you scroll down a little you will see on the right side of the screen new products that I have found. On the left side is a menu. Under “Shop” is the categories like fitness, home decor, spring clothing, and etc. New products will appear for each category for you to shop/browse. Then under “Shop” is a list of brands– in alphabetical order. When you click on the products or click on the brands it will take you to the brand/product page. As if you are normally shopping Nordstrom, J.Crew, etc. When you purchase an item I get a commission that is no extra charge to you and completely anonymous. The same goes for my LTK page, no extra charge to you and completely anonymous. I do not see who you are at all. There is no way for me to. I do not have access to your CC information or address or even your name. All I see is that an item was purchase from Nordstrom and I get X amount of commission from the sale. Just as if I were in the store with you as a sales associate. Anyway, I am loving my new shop section and hopefully you do too!

Back to more fun things… last night I went to Penny Farthing in the East Village to support the Waterboys Organization. A friend of mine is really involved with the organization and I went to support her. For a little backstory of the Waterboys, it was founded by ex-pro NFL player Chris Long. After he hiked Mount Kilimanjaro he ran into some friends at a bar who were in Tanzania to build a water well. Chris then created Waterboys to raise money to help build sustainable wells in Africa so communities and schools have access to clean drinking water. At last nights fundraiser they had ex-pro NFL player Ali Marpet speak about the organization and what they have achieved so far this year. They also had a raffle for NFL merchandise that was signed by players. I did not enter the raffle, as I do not care to have NFL merch. I supported the cause by drinking wine. It was a fun night out!

What I am watching: I started the Bridgerton prequel Queen Charlotte and am loving it!! I have one episode left and I already know it’s a tearjerker. I am enjoying Charlotte and George’s story and their blossoming love. I have been doing a little research into the actual Queen Charlotte and King George and it’s pretty interesting. It baffles me people are just now realizing that King George from Queen Charlotte is the same George from Hamilton who is the same King that lost the American Colonies and the same guy who was called the Mad King….I…how…… Anyway, I love that the only characters in the prequel that are from Bridgerton, besides Charlotte, are Lady Bridgerton and Lady Danbury. I am enjoying their backstory. Rumor has it we may get a prequel story for Lady Bridgerton!!

In Queen Charlotte the ONLY thing that I think is odd is that Charlotte has 15 unmarried children…. Why have they not been a part of the social season in Bridgerton? I get it is not part of the book series, but for Queen Charlotte don’t you think they would have found matches during one of the social seasons? I haven’t looked into the history of her children (yet), so maybe they were all unwed for a while. It just seems they would have been the most sought after. And in that time period, most likely there would have been arranged marriages for them all. Charlotte paraded her nephew around, you think she would have done the same for her children. Thoughts that keep my up at night, ha!

What I bought: I didn’t buy anything new this week but I do have my eye on these pink flower stud earrings. It would look so pretty with the majority of my summer outfits.
