Happy Friday! This past week was all about friendships, growth, and taking life into my own hands. I have decided I need change. I have felt so stagnant these past few years. I need to grow to change to develop. I have been doing different types of content with my blog. e.i: showing try-on hauls. It helps keep things new and different for me. I have been reaching out to people to get together. I have been working on my own self love. I don’t know what kind of change I truly need, but will once it happens. I have faith in God to bring me this change that I seek. Until then I will do little things to move forward, enjoy life a little more, and to be confident in knowing this is my time. It’s my time for good things to happen in my life.
Last weekend I hopped over to Jersey to celebrate my photographer Lauren’s baby shower! It was a lovely day and I know she felt loved. The baby shower was at this cute little event space, a women’s club, that was really the perfect setting for it. I was so happy to finally meet Lauren’s family. I felt as if I already knew them from Lauren talking about her family through the years. I also met some fellow bloggers and got to catch up with other’s that I haven’t seen in a long time. We played a little baby shower game of “what is in your purse”. It was a lovely day! I am so happy I was able to be there to celebrate her! I may be one of her clients but we have become friends throughout the years and for that I am grateful.
On Tuesday I met up with my friend Christy, of Christy’s Garden, for brunch at Penelope. In typical adult fashion, we have been trying to get together for a few months now but our schedules never aligned. It finally did and I was so happy to catch up with her! Also to be at Penelope! When I lived in Murray Hill, and then Gramercy, I used to frequent Penelope a lot. Unfortunately they do not have a GF menu, so no more blueberry pancakes for me, instead I had a omelette which was good. Anyway, it was SO nice to catch up with Christy; filling each other in on our lives. It was exactly what I needed!
I went to DanceBody sculpt yesterday. I haven’t been to their sculpt class since probably the fall. I usually do sculpt at home through Obé. However, I needed to switched things up with my workouts and that is why I went to DanceBody. I haven’t been to DanceBody’s full-out (dance cardio) class this past month because of scheduling conflicts– they switched out the usual class I attend for their 10 year anniversary celebration class. Which mean I haven’t danced all month. Such a bummer! I can tell by my mood that I need to dance. I miss it! Hopefully I will be able to attend one of their other schedule full-out classes before the end of the month. I just haven’t had the time to attend.
What I am watching: I am so happy Firefly Lane is back but am also so scared of the ending. I did not read the book, so I am fully in the dark of how it ends. I do not want to give any spoilers so I will leave it at that. But I am hoping for the best! I love Firefly Lane and highly recommend for you to watch. It follows two best friends who lived across the street from each other in the 70s. It followers them throughout the 70s, 80s, 90s and “current times” which is 2004. I love the friendship between Tully and Kate. I have very close friendships but nothing like this. It makes me envious but also their co-dependency is unhealthy, ha. Anyway, I am glad to see the girls back on the screen.
Did you watch Scandoval? My jaw was on the floor the entire time and my anger was present. I couldn’t believe the things Tom was saying to Ariana during their breakup and also the things he was saying to other cast members. Such as blaming her for his own infidelity, saying he could’t break up with her because of her mental health, etc. To me it’s embarrassing for a 40 year old man to become a cliché. Having a midlife crisis and sleeping with younger girls. Embarrassing and pathetic. I thought Ariana handled herself with grace and articulated perfectly the situation and her feelings. Scheana as well. She really hit the nail in the coffin at the end. I am so excited for the reunion! It was going to be good! Apparently there are things revealed during the 3-part reunion on Bravo that not even the cast members know about….. dun dun dun
What I bought: I didn’t buy anything new but I exchanged this navy dress for the white one. I like the navy but wasn’t as in love with it as I wanted to be. I exchanged it for the white because I thought the white looked nicer. I also exchanged the small to an x-small as it runs big.

This weekend I am planning on going uptown to walk around 5th avenue to look at all of the floral installations. Well, as long as it doesn’t pour down rain as it is suppose to according to my weather app. Other then that I will be doing my usual weekend activities; reading, going for a run, frolicking around, and enjoying the city.
Have a wonderful weekend xo
