“I don’t know what lies around the bend, but I am going to believe that the best does”

-Anne of Green Gables

Happy Friday! I am in Ohio visiting my family for the long weekend. I am happy to be here and spend some quality time with them. I haven’t been home since December and I miss seeing my extended family; especially my grandmother.

I flew in yesterday afternoon and immediately went to my niece’s last day of dance class. It’s the same studio I went to growing up. I wanted to stop by and say hi to old dance teachers and friends. Plus the studio moved to a new location and I wanted to see it. It’s so strange to be in the new studio, it feels familiar yet foreign. Forever will the old studio hold a special place in my heart and I can’t believe it no longer exists.

Last weekend was a little rainy so I walked around the Chelsea galleries. If you are ever looking for something free to do on a Saturday afternoon, visit the Chelsea Galleries on 24th and 25h street between 10th and 11th ave. Each gallery holds different artist exhibitions each week or for a limited period of time. There are also sculptures and installations exhibitions as well. I walked around for little over an hour looking at a wide variety of artwork.

Sunday and Monday I had the worst sore throat, I could barely swallow. I thought it was the beginning stages of a cold, which would be such a bummer considering this weekend. However, by Tuesday morning I felt completely fine. I don’t know if I scratched my throat or had a mini virus, but it was unpleasant. Happy it only lasted two days.

Did you watched my first live shopping show on The Mile? I was introducing a new floral summer dress to shop! I was a little nervous for the live show. I never go live on IG but I have spoken on panels before so I am not completely averse to public speaking on the fly. If I could do it over I would have chosen another time frame– perhaps on the weekend or the evening. Next time I will schedule it at a better time. Live and learn!

What I am watching: I binged watched all of Selling Sunset season 6. I have to admit, they do not need Christine. I didn’t miss her presence at all. The only time I did think of her was during a few fights, wondering which side she would be on. The Nicole and Chrishell fight is ridiculous. I am on Chrishell’s side, but I did think *that* comment was a very low blow. I felt it was an unnecessary accusation to make. However, I think Nicole is being petty and clearly jealous. I really like Bre as a new addition to the group as well. She stands her ground, has high level clients, and brings in the drama of Nick Cannon. I think this season is just as good as the others. I love how they all treat work like their own personal Met Gala. And of course, love judging million dollar houses.

What I bought: I didn’t buy anything new this week. I am waiting for all of the amazing Memorial Day sales to happen— scroll down for all the best sales!
