It’s almost time to pull out our red, white, and blue clothing. The 4th of July is quickly approaching and I, for one, am excited for the festive holiday. This year I am heading to Ohio to celebrate the 4th of July with friends and family. The 4th is always so much fun in my home town. We kick off the day with a parade, followed by hopping around town to different friends and family cookouts, then end the day with a fireworks display at the park. It’s a fun, joyous day!
I already have my 4th of July outfits planned. Well, as of now I do. I am planning on wear this blue linen midi dress to the parade then changing into this navy scalloped hem mini dress for parties and the evening fireworks. Even though I already have an idea of what I want to wear for the 4th, I am still shopping around for outfits.
I have always loved the classic American flag sweaters that I have seen people wear year after year. It is very East Coast preppy. It’s the perfect sweater to throw on during cool summer nights. If where you are celebrating is usually hot and humid, then a navy stripe linen mini dress is for you. It’s something I would wear all summer long. If I did not already have an outfit planned, I think I would go for a classic red midi dress. I love the style of this red smocked midi dress. And this off-the-shoulder red midi dress is under $40– the eyelet sleeves are a pretty touch of detail. If red is not your color, then you can not go wrong with the famous nap dress. This blue stripe smock dress will be a favorite of yours. Perhaps go for another look entirely like this navy gingham top paired with this white eyelet skirt. Or pair this white halter top with denim shorts for a more casual look.
If you are hosting the 4th of July party then you may need to add a few tabletop items. These embroidered American flag cocktail napkins are so cute and ones you can use year after year. Put your famous pasta salad in this blue star print serving bowl. Add these star-shaped bowls to each table for your friends and family to easily access chips and pretzels.
