“Be faithful to that which exists within yourself”

-Andre Gide

Happy Friday! Holy air pollution. That was a very surreal experience. As you may have seen, on Wednesday the air here in New York turned to orange. It was in one respect scary but in another way kind of artistic. My social media feeds were inundated with fascinating photos of the smog. However, I am glad that the sky is clearer. Hopefully it stays this way. It’s not healthy for us to be living like this.

I was out and about running errands when the smog started to thicken. I luckily had my mask with me to put on. I no longer carry my mask around, but decided to put one in my bag when I heard about the air quality. I am so glad I did. It really helped as the air started to thicken. I luckily was out of the smog before the worst of it. I hope they can put out the fires soon.

Besides shielding myself from toxic air, I am still dealing with a sore throat. I have had a sore throat for almost a month now. I have been to urgent care and to see my doctor to figure out what is going on. I have been tested for strep, covid, flu, and mono– all came out negative. I figured they would as I am not showing any other symptoms like sneezing, coughing, or fatigue. The result of my WebMD research is that I may need to get my tonsils removed. They are a little swollen and red according to my doctor. I am waiting to hear back from my physician on the next steps. Which I am sure is to see an ENT doctor.

After a month off because of scheduling I finally went to my beloved DanceBody class. I have to say after so much time off I was really feeling the consequences. I quickly noticed my stamina was not up to par. I also forgot some of the dances….ha! It was still so fun and I loved being back. I can’t wait until the summer dances are here– starting July 1st. The summer dances are always so much fun!

I have a new shop section on my blog!! An update has been long over due. Lets be honest, it looked awful and was not user friendly. I am loving the new look and have added a few new features as of yesterday. When you hover your mouse over the shop section on the menu (top of the home page to the right)– there are a few categories you can click on. I have my Amazon shop, my LTK page, and my Revolve shop there to easily access. On my blog’s shop section- on the left side – there are categories like “4th of July”, “Summer”, “Home Decor” etc. When you click on each category products of said category will pop-up on the right side of the page. You can click on any of the product images you see and it will take you to the product page (i.e Nordstrom). Then you can either purchase the product or browse said brand as you normally would. I get a commission off of each product purchase at no additional charge to you and completely anonymous. I do not see who purchased what or any of your personal information. All I see is what product was sold on what date and the commission amount I get. It’s as if I was helping you at the store as a sales associate and I get commission off of the sale. Same thing but through a computer and anonymous! I hope you love the new shop section as I do!

Oh, you can also browse what brands/stores I shop in the shop section. When you click on whatever brand you are interested in it will take you to their website. Again I get commission off of this as well. I just want to be completely transparent about it all. I really appreciate any and all sales– It does mean a lot to me knowing that you guys like the content I put out there!  I love what I do; I love sharing what fashion items I find. I get excited about it. I hope in some way this is a place that makes you feel happy, inspired, and optimistic!

What I am watching: I started season 2 of Cruel Summer on Hulu. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about a completely different cast of characters and a new storyline, but 2 episodes in I am enjoying it. I loved that they stayed in the 90s. It gives a nostalgic feel while trying to figure out a mystery.

Last weekend I watched Mrs. Harris Goes To Paris. I have been wanting see the movie since it came out last year. I was so happy that it lived up to it’s expectation as a feel-good movie. I was a little worried it may be boring, but for me it wasn’t. I loved all of the fashion! The Dior show was my favorite part! If you are looking for a movie that will leave you feeling good, then I suggest this! It’s a lovely movie.

Did you watch part 3 of the Vanderpump Rules reunion? I thought it was so good. A whirlwind of emotions. I was laughing and yelling at the TV. The Charlotte will haunt you comment made me burst out laughing. I also felt personally victimized by the Harry Potter comment, ha! The t-shirt comment made me enraged. It was the lowest of lows– especially knowing how Ariana has struggled with body image issues. Just a disgusting thing to say and shows Tom’s true colors. A part of me does worry about Raquel/Rachel’s mental health. Even though everything said was warranted- she is a terrible person for what she did and how she handled the situation- but you also do not want her to harm herself in anyway. It was pretty evident at the end she is unraveling. Also her lack of empathy and fully grasping the situation is troubling. I don’t know how anyone can look at their best friend in the eye after hearing she is still in love with her boyfriend and continue to have relations with him. It’s truly diabolical. I am glad she is taking the time now at the institution to get the help she needs. Tom is trash and deserves everything that is coming to him. I have never liked Tom and I am glad my original instincts were correct. I rewatched the entire episode again but the uncensored version which was good and shows a little more than what was originally aired on Bravo…. I need to go touch grass.

What I bought: I finally decided to buy these white cut-out strap slide sandals— the Hermés dupes. I can’t wait to wear them this summer. Especially when I am home in Ohio for the 4th. I also purchased my favorite cleanser.

This weekend I have nothing on the agenda. I am hoping the air quality improves so I can go for a run at some point. I want to frolic around somewhere like a museum or go shopping. I want to be inspired, be surrounded by things of beauty. The Tony Awards are this weekend and I will for sure be parked on the couch enjoying each and every performance.

Have a wonderful weekend xo
