Lately I have had this urge to redecorate my apartment. Well, maybe not everything but to make some changes here and there. When it comes to decorating your home you do not always have to break the bank. There are so many affordable home decor brands out there that are just as nice, but for a much more reasonable price. Amazon has some of the best home decor items; from throw pillows to stemless wineglasses. I mean what doesn’t Amazon have.
One of the biggest items in my home that I want to replace is my couch. While I do think my couch is in decent shape, I am over the coloring. I could reupholster it, but it would probably be easier for me to just get a new one. I know I want to get a couch in a color instead of the grey that I currently have. This pink couch looks luxe for less– under $400. I love that the legs of the couch are gold. It gives it more of a design element.
For my apartment I want to add a shelf above my tv. It looks so bare. I am thinking of what items I would put on top of the shelf and one thing I am thinking of doing is putting a rattan display box up there. This woven box comes in a set of 2, which would look great when stacked. I could also put a picture frame up there, but I want to add a new picture of my nieces on my tv console. Currently eyeing this 8×10 rattan photo frame.
Another project I have in mind for my apartment is creating a plate wall. I haven’t figured out exactly the design or what types of plates I want to use, but this stoneware floral platter would be cute. If not for the wall, it would be great to use for its actual purpose of being a platter for a dinner party.
One thing that I dream about is being able to host dinner parties. While my studio apartment is not conducive for a sit down dinner, one can always plan for the future. If I were to have a dinner party I would use these cute bamboo plates. They come in a set of 4 for under $100. I would also use this cracker dish and cooler bucket for cocktail hour.
