Happy Friday! Well I am sick with the cold… again. This is the 3rd time this year I have had a cold. I don’t know if my immune system has weakened or just plain bad luck, but I think 3 times in a year is a little excessive. I may just need to up my vitamin intake…. welcome to your late 30s.
Luckily I didn’t get sick until Tuesday because Monday afternoon I went uptown to the LK Bennett showroom. LK Bennett is a UK brand that is one of Kate Middleton’s favorites. Back when the Prince and Princess got married, it was all over the fashion magazines that she loved LK Bennett’s nude pumps. Of course I went out and bought a pair. It truly is one of the most comfortable pair of heels I have ever worn. Since then I have been a fan of the brand. LK Bennett rarely does anything in new US so it was extra special to be there. I viewed their seasonal collections for the 2024 in shoes, handbags, and clothing. One of their spring dresses is perfect for Wimbledon and/or the US Open. But before the springtime hits, they have amazing items right now to shop. My jaw dropped when I saw this gorgeous faux fur check coat.
The next day is when I woke up feeling under the weather. Luckily I didn’t sign up for my usual DanceBody class and was already planning on taking the week off– to give my neck and shoulder a rest. I’ve spent most of the week just relaxing at home, working, doing a little yoga, reading, and sleeping. I feel much better now! I still have a little cough but over all I feel good!
What I am watching: I watched the VMA’s because I wanted to see the *NSYNC reunion and Taylor Swift. I actually thought the show was enjoyable and I knew the majority of the artists– partly thanks to being on the ticky-tocky app. But the award show felt very Millennial driven with Shakira and P.Diddy performing, *NSYNC together again after 20 years, and early 2000’s artists presenting. MTV must have known they lost their TRL audience.
Last weekend I watched Love Again on Netflix starring Priyanka Chopra and Sam Heughan. I wasn’t expecting to like it so much! I thought it was not only a cute movie but pretty funny too. Definitely one to watch!
What I bought: To make myself feel better I bought some cute items this past week. First I bought this cane and wood display box to put on top of my new shelf. Behind the box I plan to put this beautiful landscape painting. To wear I bought this ruffleneck sweater in cream. I needed a new white turtleneck for the season because the one I usually wear was accidentally damaged. Last but not least I bought this beautiful maxi shirtdress.

This weekend I am going to take it easy and rest. Even though I feel much better, it’s clear my body wants some R&R. I will probably get cabin fever at some point so will go for a long walk to get some fresh air. But I will mostly spend the weekend reading and watching Netflix.
Have a wonderful weekend xo
