Happy Friday! Tis the season for events and gatherings! My calendar is already starting to fill up with holiday parties. I absolutely love this time of the year! There is a lot going on but I am grateful to be this busy.

Last weekend I was in Jersey for the Ohio State vs. Rutgers football game. My parents, as well as my aunt, uncle, and cousin joined me for the weekend. I have two other cousins who live in Jersey. Anyway, the football game was fun! A little frustrating at times haha. Besides the game, we went out to dinner friday night at a pub. Then after the game we ordered pizza at my cousin’s house and relaxed. It was a great weekend with my family. I haven’t seen my cousins since the 4th of July. It was nice to catch up and enjoy the weekend together.

Monday morning I got up bright and early for another photoshoot. I shot around Washington Square Park which looks lovely this time of the year. I think the shoot went well but we ran into a lot of scaffolding issues. I wanted to shoot a holiday outfit in front of the Washington Square Hotel, but had to work around the scaffolding. Usually I scout the locations prior to the shoot, but couldn’t find the time to do it. Luckily there are plenty of amazing buildings around the area and of course there is the park.

Tuesday morning I went to DanceBody as per usual. I have to say it was not my best class. Sometimes you are not on your A-game and this time I off. It wasn’t a matter of physically not being able to do, but more mentally. I kept messing up; forgetting movements and not knowing movements. I think I need to carve out a time this weekend to really break down the dances and perfect them.

Since I workout a lot, I always make it a point to take care of my body. I already have aches and pains from years of dance and excessive exercise that I am now more focused on preserving my body. I want to be able to dance for as long as I can. At home I foam roll, use a massage ball, and stretch. So when Therabody invited me to attend their event introducing their new Theragun Sense device, I immediately said yes. The event was held at  Reset, their professional wellness treatment spa in Midtown West. The Reset provides different treatments such as Theragun massage, Cryotheraphy, red light therapy, compression boots and more. I chose to do the massage as I have been having terrible neck and back pain recently. It was 15 minutes of heaven and I haven’t had aches or pain since. The Theragun Sense is different from their other devices in that it has more of a mindfulness element to it. You can follow along to a guided breathwork meditation or check your heart rate. We each got our own Theragun Sense and I have been following the sleep guide before bed and it really has helped improve my sleep quality.

Later that day I had my first real photography class with Ella through Superprof. The first class was more of a feeler to see what I wanted and what she offered. This time she broke down my camera one setting at a time. We focused mostly on the triangle: iso, aperture, and shutter speed. Now I am playing around with my camera and practicing before our next lesson tomorrow.

Last night I went uptown to Printfresh for their holiday kickoff party. Everyone wore a gifted pajama set– I wore this cute home chef print pajama set in a size small. More parties need to be pajamas parties. It was comfortable to wear! I jazzed it up with my slingback heels and feather handbag. At the event they had champagne and charcuterie. I got a bow monogrammed. They had a raffle to win a printed champagne bottle- I did not win. And of course, I met some new friends and caught up with some old ones. It was a fun evening!

What I am watching: I am so happy Selling Sunset is back!! I love these women and their wild outfits. What I love most about this show is that we follow a group of women who are killing it and making lots of money. It’s aspirational. Every time I watch a season I always end up feeling extra motivated during work. Of course the drama and the million dollar homes are entertaining to watch as well.

What I bought: I didn’t buy anything new this week but I am starting to shop for holiday outfits. I have my eye on this dress for Christmas. This dress for a possible holiday formal affair. And this metallic skirt for a holiday soirée.
