Happy Friday! It was another busy and fun week of gatherings. I’ve been really enjoying life lately with get togethers with friends and attending fun events. I am excited to see what the rest of the year brings!
Last weekend I took a long relaxing stroll through Central Park. The park is absolutely stunning this time of year with all the fall foliage. I took my camera with me to capture the beauty of the autumn colors. I have, of course, been to the park dozens of times, but it has been a while since I aimlessly walked around. It was lovely.
Monday evening I went downtown to NO BAR (The Standard East Village) for my book club with Guest of a Guest. We usually have the meeting at GofaG townhouse in West Village, but the last two meetings were in different locations. It’s been a nice change of scenery. Anyway, this month’s book was Under The Influence by Noelle Crooks. I really enjoyed this book! The event was fun and I enjoyed caching up with some of the regulars and meeting new members. The author was there for a Q&A which I always enjoy! I like to hear from the author on why they chose this or that in the book or their personal opinions on characters, etc. It was a great event and I am already excited for our meetup next month.
Before my book club event, I went to GLOSSLAB and got a manicure. I opted once again for holiday red. I’ve been really enjoying going to GLOSSLAB. It’s a quick and easy process. My gel nails usual last almost 3 weeks. If you want to try or perhaps are already a fan of the nail salon– take 20% off with code MAGGIE20
I went to my usual DanceBody class Tuesday Morning. I did so much better than last, haha! Last week I had two left feet. This week I nailed most of the dances. Even the new one– “Don’t Cha’ by the Pussycat Dolls! I really like the dances this quarter; I find them challenging and fun to do. I can’t believe we are approaching the last month where they will switch up the songs… idk if I am prepared for that haha!
Yesterday I met up with my friend Tricia at Maman in West Village for a coffee date. Well, coffee for her. I do not drink coffee, I am a tea drinker. It was so nice to catch-up! We haven’t seen each other since before the pandemic. Tricia just had the cutest little baby boy and I love watching her as a new mom.
Today I have an in-person lesson with my photography teacher. We were suppose to meet up late Wednesday afternoon, but decided it would be too dark to shoot. So we rescheduled for this afternoon. My photography lessons have been a tremendous help. I have a much better understanding of my camera. I can’t wait to start shooting clients– hopefully soon!
What I am watching: I haven’t started anything new. Trying to keep up with the shows that I am already watching. I will chat a little about one of my favorite shows that have recently made me see red. Dancing with the Stars. Like most of America, I was fuming when they sent home Barry and not Harry. I will give Harry some credit in that he actually moved this time. The first time we have actually seen some sort of improvement. But it’s too little too late. The dance and his improvement are no where near the rest of the contestants. That dance was a week 3 dance. And to be perfectly honest, he isn’t fun to watch. Barry and Alyson are not the best but they are fun to watch. The top 4 should be Jason, Xochitl, Ariana, and Charity. I would be happy with any of them winning it.
What I bought: I did a little shopping for the holiday season. I bought this mini sequined skirt in clay– currently on sale and under $100. I wanted the lighter color for a more “winter whites” vibe. Next I bought this cashmere sweater in cream. I ordered my usual size small but it does say it runs big- so I may exchange it for an x-small. Last but not least in the holiday attire, I bought these gold ankle strap heels— also on sale.
The only other thing I bought this past week were a pack of white crew socks to wear with my loafers and sneakers. Only $17.

This weekend I have nothing on the agenda and I could’t be happier about it. All I want to do is aimlessly frolic around. In the downtime I will read my new book, workout, watch Hallmark movies, and clean my apartment.
Have a wonderful weekend xo
