Happy New Year! While the past year was pretty good, I am ready to welcome 2024 and all that it brings. There is something different about this year, I feel. Usually going into the new year I either feel desperate for things to happen or sadness that another year has passed. This year, however, I feel calm. Focused on what the new year brings with a sense of confidence and peace. Not sure what that foresees for the year ahead, but I’ll take it as a good sign.
Starting each new year, like so many of you, I create resolutions for myself both personally and professionally. But I also like to throw in intentions; overall themes that I like the forthcoming year to be. For 2023 my themes were growth, believe, and love/connections. I think I pretty much mastered those intentions. I saw a tremendous amount of growth within myself and my career. I also made a lot of connections through work and personal life. I made new friends and continued to care for the ones I already have. As for the belief, this is a daily practice. Some days I am confident in my path, others I play the comparison game. That is life.
For small personal goals for the previous year I stuck to the promise of taking tap lessons again. I want to continue this in the coming year. I didn’t make my needlepoint pillow, so that will be added to this year’s goal. I still hit the snooze button, so I guess I failed at that resolution, haha. Becoming a morning person isn’t as easy as one thinks. I guess that is something I still need to work on. What can I say, I like to sleep.
For 2024 I have new little resolutions for myself. The first being to really start tackling my New York bucket list. I have had a running NYC bucket list for years, but I want to make a bigger progression in it. I want to read more. Last year I read 30 books, so this year I set the goal for 35. Another goal I have for myself is to create more. Whether it’s through my blog, photography, or another form of art, I want to expand my creativity in some capacity.
Now that I have established small goals for myself (keeping the bigger ones to myself), I want to install my intentions for the year. My overall themes I want for 2024 are prosperity/abundance, confidence, and love/connections.
Confidence: I want to go confidently in the direction of my goals and manifestations.I want to continue to have the faith and courage to put myself out there in both my career and relationships. To know what I deserve and go for it. I know that I CAN do whatever I put my mind to. I WILL accomplish my goals. I am GOOD ENOUGH to have, be, and do all that I desire. This year I am stepping into a new venture with photography. It is both scary and thrilling at the same time. I don’t know how this will turn out, but I want to go into it confidently knowing my abilities are good enough. And at least I tried.
Prosperity/Abundance: It’s time for me to reap the benefits of my hard work. I want this to be the year my cup over runneth in prosperity, success, love, experience, and friendships. I want to continue to grow my revenue, my following, my content creations. I want to work with more brands this year than previous. I want to connect more with my followers.
I want to surround myself with beauty, art, knowledge, books, fascinating people, and positivity. I want stimulating experiences. I want an abundance of love and success.
Love/ Connection: I always have love and connection as part of my yearly themes. I want to continue to be surrounded by love; love of family, friends, relationships, and myself. To go on more dates. I want to finally find love, my person. The man I will marry. I am ready for love. I want to continue my personal growth of self-love. It’s a daily practice. To continue to cherish and appreciate moments with my family. I want to make even more new connections, meet new people, and form more friendships. To me, there is nothing more important in life than love and connection.
