“May all you want come to you in perfect timing”

Happy Friday! Life lately has been pretty busy, and I am so grateful for it all. If this is a sign for what’s to come this summer, I am here for it. I’ve enjoyed my little trips out of the city, been busy working on creating content for brand collaborations, and meeting up with friends for fun nights out or delicious brunch gatherings.

Last weekend I went to ABCV for brunch with a few friends. It was my first time at the famous Jean-Georges restaurant. I had the gluten free almond pancakes. I rarely get to have pancakes (bc of being gf) so this was quite the treat! I thought the restaurant had a great atmosphere, cute decor, and delicious food. It was a nice little Sunday morning catch up with friends.

The rest of my week was mostly all business. I had a zoom meeting with a brand for a potential collaboration. Still ironing out the details of the contract. I had a photoshoot today to capture a few spring and summer dresses. I am excited to share them– all are so pretty! Mostly my week was all work. However, I did get out and about a little.

Yesterday I met with a friend at St. Jardim in the West Village for coffee and tea. This is a new friend of mine from my book club. It was so nice to get to her know better and find out we both love the Royal family. Hopefully we will get together more in the future, until then I will see her at book club on Monday.

I went back to my usual DanceBody Tuesday morning class. I am more confident in the dances, but still messed up here and there. The 3 dances I enjoy doing the most are “The Jump Off”, “Goated”, “Rock Wit U”, and “Buzzin”. Also the most difficult if you ask me. There is a section in “The Jump Off”– the chorus– that I still mess up sometimes. I always forget one little movement, it then puts me off the 8 count. I am sure it will click for me someday.

I also went back to physical therapy. I am still in pain and I haven’t seen much improvement. My neck and right trap will be fine for a few days then start to ache again. Next week I am going back to the doctor to discuss what else needs to be done. I have been in physical therapy for 7 weeks now. According to WebMD a strained muscle usually takes 3-6 weeks to heal…. it’s been 2 and a half years. Something else is going on.

What I am watching: Bridgerton is back for season 3!!! I am so excited to follow Penelope and Colin’s story, as well as Francesca. I hope we do see more of Francesca this season, it would be nice to get to know the other siblings. I have only watched the first episode, saving the rest for the weekend. I really enjoyed the first episode and am excited for what is to come. I couldn’t stop laughing at Colin’s hair and makeup. it is so fake and overdone. I get that he has had a glow up, but his hair and makeup is ridiculous.

Last weekend I finally watched the movie Anyone But You starring Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell. I really liked it! The perfect romcom recipe. I thought it was funny, cute, steamy. They clearly have great chemistry.

I also binged watched the entire season 1 of Maxton Hall. I was a lazy bum on Sunday and didn’t want to do a single thing except to watch tv. I did not read the book series, Save Me, that it is based off of– considering it is written in German. The show, however also in German, does have English dubbed over it. It doesn’t bother me when they do this, but I had to laugh because I also had the subtitles on and the words were not matching what was written. Anyway, I really enjoyed the show and am glad to see there will be a season 2.

What I bought: The only thing I bought this week was Funny Story by Emily Henry. Amazon is having a major discount sale on books- so I snagged Emily Henry’s new book for $15!!

This weekend I am heading to Connecticut for a quick day trip. I am attending the design summit hosted by Ariel Okin at the Mayflower. I am so excited to see the famous Mayflower Inn— hopefully will be able to go inside and see the decor. Anyway, the design summit is an all day event filled with interior design panel discussions, shopping bazaar, and more. I am going as media, hopefully will be able to see the full extent of the summit. I am also going with my friend Sarah. It should be a fun day of shopping, interior design, and catching up. Other than my trip to CT I will be enjoying the weekend with my new book, Bridgerton, and perhaps a walk around the city.

Have a wonderful weekend xo
