“It’s delightful when your imaginations come true”

Happy Friday! The sun is out, the pumpkins are being carved, and Adam Brody is back on our tv screens. Life is looking pretty good!
This past week has been busy but good. I am back in the full swing of things with events, work, and hanging out with friends. After being in my apartment all weekend because of the dreary, rainy weather, it felt good to get out and about. Monday evening I went up town to my friend’s townhouse for her birthday dinner party. Megan (the host and birthday girl) cooked a delicious chicken and risotto dish and a side salad, while we sipped on champagne and wine. It was nice to meet Megan’s mom friends for the first time, and catch up with our mutual friends. The dinner party was lovely. I am at the age now that I rather go to a dinner party than a bar.
As a content creator and social media manager part of my job is to always be up to date on the newest features within different social platforms. Wednesday I was invited to attend the IG Unfiltered event at Meta, where they discussed new features current on instagram and ones that are going to roll out very soon. They also gave advice and tips, best practices, on growth and reach. It was a very informative event– a mixture of new ideas and practices that I will implement into my strategy, and a great reminder of things I already know. The biggest takeaway of the entire day is to not sleep on Threads. It’s the fastest growing app in history. For content creators and businesses, it’s a great way to engage more with your followers/customers, as well as show more of your personality. For regular folks, it’s fun to connect with like-minded people. I have daily thread chats on Taylor Swift, books, and Gilmore Girls. Threads is lollipops and rainbows, while Twitter (x) is dumpster fire and toxicity. Besides tips and advice they chatted a lot about Meta AI. I am personally not a fan of content AI– although I was having fun the other night making Meta AI imagine me as a princess. However, when it comes to creating content I prefer a more authentic approach. I do think AI is very useful for other things like generated responses; on my IG posts I say comment “shop” or cute” to receive a DM with a shoppable link.
For the final panel discussion Meta had Simu Liu (from Barbie and Stang-Chi) as the special guest speaker. The interviewer asked him questions about how Hollywood has changed with content creation and AI. Obviously most actors and singers nowadays need to utilize social media platforms to market themselves and their product. They also discussed his upbringing, his time with YouTube, his love of Threads, and more.
Yesterday I met up with my photographer to shoot some fall content. I haven’t had a photoshoot since June or July, I was very much in need of new content to share. I shot about 4 different fall outfits and can’t wait to post them!
What I am watching: Like everyone else in America I am watching Nobody Wants This on Netflix with Adam Brody and Kristen Bell. I am only on episode 4 but I absolutely love it and hope they renew the show for season 2. Having Adam Brody back on my tv screen is the best thing that could have happened. I love him! He still holds the essence of Seth Cohen; quick witted, lovable, dorky, and handsome. However much more emotional mature this time around. I think that is why most people (women in general) are loving this show; it’s showing a 30/40 something year old man who is emotionally mature, communicative, accepting, supportive, and lovable. Like where can I find this man in real life?!
I watched the entirety of The Perfect Couple, and as someone who read the book I hated the show. It still holds the plot of the book but the stories are different– if that makes sense. I do not want to give anything away, but character personalities were changed, storylines were changed, characters were added, etc. And do not get me started on why they changed the lead character’s name from Celeste to Amelia yet no one else got a name change. Well besides Featherleigh to Isabelle but that makes sense because Featherleigh doesn’t really roll off the tongue. Anyway, I suggest the book over the show.
What I bought: I bought this mushroom colored brushed cashmere cable-knit sweater. It’s so soft and comfortable. I bought my normal size small.

This weekend I am going out to dinner and drinks with friends. It will be nice to get out and about and try a new-to-me restaurant. Other than that I will be reading, working (need to work on a project for a client), hopefully going for run, and frolicking around the city.
Have a wonderful weekend xo
