Happy Friday! This week I went from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. I have been very respectful of everyone’s choice, so I want to keep it that way- and I hope you do too. I hope we can all as a nation move forward together in unity. While I may be feeling down, this blog has and will always be a place of positivity and beauty. And that is all I am going to say about the election.
Last weekend was a last minute trip to Indianapolis for the Eras Tour!! I went with my mom, sister, and 7yr old niece. Her first ever concert– what a way to start off with a bang. My first concert was The Jets at the Columbus Zoo… while I do like The Jets it’s nowhere near Eras tour level. Anyway, I flew home to Columbus Friday afternoon, only for us to drive over to Indy Saturday morning. Then drove back on Sunday, and I flew back to NYC on Monday. It was a long weekend of travel, but I wouldn’t change it. It was the best weekend of my life.
If you have been following me for a while then you know that I am a huge Taylor Swift fan– have been since 2006. I have also been desperately trying to get tickets since the Eras Tour was announced. Unfortunately Ticketmaster didn’t think I was good enough to get out of the queue. I have been searching, entering giveaways, asking people, and praying for almost 2 years. Then we saw that ticket prices were going down and we just decided to bite the bullet and get the cheapest tickets we would find. We unfortunately had to sit separate; I sat with my mom, and my sister and niece sat together somewhere else. While my mom and I were way up high in the stadium, I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Taylor was absolutely amazing!! I got teary-eyed when she came out. I was screaming, cheering, clapping, laughing, dancing like I’ve never done before. It was the best night! I loved seeing her perform and my friend Natalie who is a dancer for Taylor! So very proud of her!!
I went to Indy night 2 so our surprise songs were a mash-up of “Prophecy”/ “This Love” and “Maroon”/ “Cowboy Like Me”. It was perfect! While I was hoping for “Invisible String” or “Our Song”, I was going to be happy regardless of whatever she played. I have said this before, and I will say it again, it was surreal being at the concert– an experience unlike any other. In all my years going to concerts, I have never seen such a scene; people dressed up in sparkly outfits, costumes, recreating her looks, friendship bracelets, and more. It was joyful. I went to Party City the day of the concert and bought this pink fringe jacket and these disco ball earrings. I put on this glitter eyeshadow mixed in with the silver glitter eyeshadow that came along with the rhinestones I placed on either side of my eyes (from Party City). My niece had friendship bracelets for us as well. It was so fun to get dressed up in a sparkly outfit. The entire night was magical and I am so happy to have experienced it with my family.
What I am watching: Abbott Elementary is back and still so, so good! If you are not watching this show you are missing out on joy and great comedy. It’s one of my favorite shows. Each episode just makes me feel good. I love each and every character which is rare to say for a show. Just good vibes all around.
What I bought: When we were at the Eras Tour concert we wanted to get merch. Unfortunately the wait was going to be 3 hours and, well, we wanted to see the concert. So instead I bought this cute Eras Tour crewneck sweatshirt in grey online. It has already arrived and have already proudly worn it out and about. Next I needed a new book; ended up buying the third installment of the Rebel Blue Ranch series, Lost and Lassoed. So far I am enjoying it! Last but not least I repurchased this pro-collagen cream.

This weekend I have nothing on the agenda and it’s for the best. I need to relax, disconnect, and get some fresh air. Will spend time reading, working out, and enjoying this eerily warm November weekend.
*The last thing I want to say, and I have said this on all of my socials, is if you are struggling with your mental health right now please take care yourself. You are not alone. Suicide hotlines have had an uptick in calls this week, and it’s heartbreaking. Let’s talk to each other and take care of each other. I know this stems from politics, but this goes way beyond it in my book. Idc who you voted for if you are struggling with your mental health. If you need someone to talk to- email me, DM me- I am here- or call 988 to talk to a professional. And please, please be respectful when dm-ing me- I have already had some horrifying responses to me reaching out to those who are struggling over their mental health and contemplating suicide these past few days. There is no room on this blog or on my socials for that kind of behavior. Lets do better. Mental health matters. Love you all.
Have a wonderful weekend xo
