Although we haven’t finished rockin’ around the Christmas tree, I am starting to plan my countdown to the new year. New Year’s Eve always sneaks up quickly right after Christmas so it’s best to be prepared. While I may not have concrete plans quite yet, it doesn’t stop me from shopping for potential New Year’s Eve outfits.

Usually for New Year’s Eve I like to shimmer and shine, wear sequins or metallics. This year, however, I am thinking of going sleek with an all black look. Sheer skirts are a huge trend right now, and one that I am loving. This lace sheer skirt is perfect to wear on New Year’s Eve as the lace gives off a pretty detail besides it being sheer. It’s currently on sale and under $50. While I can wear a variety of different tops with the skirt, I decided to style it with this posh wool bustier top. I love that the length is a little long which overlaps the skirt. It gives the illusion that this could be a dress with a peplum design. The best part about this ensemble is that I can wear both with different tops and bottoms past the holiday season.
Even though I may have an idea of what I am going to wear for New Year’s Eve, that is not going to stop me from continuing to shop for another fancy outfit. Here are a few items I have in mind to wear to ring in the new year.
