Happy Friday! THE Ohio State Buckeyes are National Champions!! It was an amazing CFP run and I had the best time cheering them on while wearing my lucky Taylor Swift Eras Tour sweatshirt.

Surprise I like football. Well, only Ohio State. I couldn’t care less about the NFL. I am from Ohio, so being a Buckeye fan is basically thrust upon you at birth. I loved watching this team give it their all this season. No one deserved this championship win more than this team, these seniors, and Ryan Day. I ended up not going to Atlanta with my family. It was just easier, and cheaper, to stay here. We couldn’t find an extra ticket, and honestly I was happy to watch it from my apartment. Although I am sure my neighbors probably wished I went out of town….. not sorry. So happy and proud of this team and can’t wait to watch the celebration this weekend.

Besides watching the Buckeyes become champions, the rest of my week was quiet. I went back to DanceBody. We learned the ballet dance for the quarter, and went over some of the other dances that are a bit tricky. There isn’t one dance that I have completely down… yet. I still either need to figure out a movement here and there or get used to the tempo of the song. Overall I am enjoying this quarter’s dances. I can’t wait until I know them all by heart and can perform them.

A fun little thing I did this week was finally joining Book of the Month. It’s a subscription service where each month they have about 5 new book releases you can choose from to be sent to you. Depending on your subscription package you can get anywhere from 1-5 of the books, plus a few credits (more books added). I signed up for the lowest subscription, so will only get 1 book a month plus whatever credits I have. I have been wanting to join BOTM for a year or so now. I do not know why it took me so long to join. I decided to join because of the perks and the community. I am going to buy books regardless of where it comes from, so for my subscription package it’s actually less than or equal to a book I would buy at the bookstore. And I will still go and buy books from the bookstore. The best part about BOTM is if I do not like any of the monthly picks they will not charge me. Right now for the first month they are offering $5 to join– which is what I did! Honestly getting a free Book Person hat was truly the incentive– I really want that hat haha! Since I signed up late I didn’t get to pick a book for January, but will get to pick one for February plus my 1 credit that I got for joining. So really I get two books for $5!!

What I am watching: During the snowy weekend I watched Conclave. It’s about the the selection process of picking a new Pope. I thought it was very interesting! I don’t know how accurate it is to the actual succession process for the Catholic church, but I found it fascinating. It’s like Gossip Girl meets Succession with a twist at the end. I recommend the movie, but it’s also not something that I would watch again. Once was enough.

I started watching Severance for the first time. Honestly, after their marketing stunt at Grand Central it convinced me to give it a try… see marketing works! I am only on episode 3 so know there is so much more ahead of me and my current review may change. Right now I am a mixture of it’s interesting and it’s a little boring. I find that it loses my attention here and there, yet I am also so curious as to what is going on. Even for the first two episodes it has moments that completely hook you. I am sure it gets better as more is revealed. I’ll definitely stick with it.

What I bought: I have been eyeing this beautiful floral terracotta vase for a while now. It’s been sold out, however it was recently restocked and I grabbed at the change to buy it. I am going to replace the current white vase I have on my coffee table with this one. It will give my space a little bit more design. It may be a little bit bigger than my current vase, but I do not think that will be a problem.

This weekend I currently have nothing planned. I am browsing different museums around the city to see if there is an exhibit I want to see. If not then I will probably frolic around the Chelsea Art Galleries. Lately I’ve been itching to see and be surrounded by art. Other than that I will hopefully finish my book, maybe grab a drink with a friend, and cry about the cold weather.

Have a wonderful weekend xo
