Happy Friday! The countdown to my vacation has begun! This time next week I will be packing my bags to head down to Florida for a week. I can not wait to be under the sun, swimming, and relaxing with my family.

While I am mentally preparing for vacation, I’ve been a little busy bee this past week. Starting off with my usual DanceBody Tuesday morning full-out class. Now that we are in the 3rd month of the quarter, the music changes for some of the dances. This can sometimes be challenging if you take cues from the music– but it’s a great way to test your muscle memory.

Tuesday evening I went to Meta HQ for another Thread’s Creator Book Club event. This time showcasing Amanda Nguyen new memoir Saving Five: A Memoir of Hope with a Q&A moderated by Daniella Pierson. Going into the event I knew nothing about Amanda and her journey. Leaving the event I can not wait to dive into her book. Amanda is a SA survivor who took what happened to her and channeled it to change the laws. Helping other survivors have a fairer chance of justice. Amanda’s journey tells the tale of her time of activism, healing, as well as her time in the CIA and now as an astronaut. The event was eye-opening; 1 in 6 women are survivors of rape, 1 in 4 women are survivors of sexual assault, and only 1% of assaulters are convicted. That is horrible and needs to change.

The next day I was all over the Upper East Side going from event to event. Starting off at Buru celebrating Kristin Kennedy’s new collection collaboration. A few items from the collection that I love: this floral two-piece set, this blue printed maxi dress, and the modern twist of a classic trench coat. The event was lovely and it was so nice to catch up with Kristin and the ladies of Buru.

After Buru I walked to The Pierre Hotel for the Cara Cara trunk show. I tried on some beautiful dresses for both spring and vacation– this pink floral dress (perfect for Easter), this floral knit dress (for vacay), and another blue floral dress that hasn’t come out yet– seen here. The shopping event was lovely! It was nice to meet the ladies of Cara Cara– hopefully they end up having a brick and mortar here in NYC!

I then moseyed on down to the Baccarat Hotel for the Upper East Vintage shopping event. Hayden, the owner, had some beautiful new jewelry pieces that I was eyeing like black crystal drop earrings and beaded bracelets, as well as a few of their vintage clothing pieces that I tried on last week. It was nice to catch up with Hayden and meet some of her employees. They were so kind and gifted me (and a few other Influencers) painted rosè bottles and pink coupes. I can’t wait to pour myself a drink this summer!

I had a photoshoot with my photographer Marth to capture a few new spring pieces. We shot on Bleecker St in West Village, which is my favorite location to shoot. In fact it is my favorite street in Manhattan. It’s so picturesque with all the cute shops. When I was looking for an apartment, a few years ago, I really wanted to live on Bleecker, Unfortunately the apartments were so, so tiny. I couldn’t do it. However, I still enjoy frolicking around on the street every weekend.

Last night I went to the Assouline event with Technogym. Assouline is releasing a new coffee table book about Technogym, so the evening was in celebration of that. The event was at the Technogym location in Soho. They had Cipriani catering, a DJ, and a few activations. To be honest I knew nothing about Technogym prior  to the invite, but I do love Assouline. If you are like me and you are not familiar with Technogym, it’s one of the biggest gym equipment companies. They also introduced wellness systems such as monitoring your heart rate and more. It’s been around since the 80s. I am sure I have used Technogym numerous times throughout my life, I just didn’t realize or pay attention to the company. Anyway, the event was nice! It was not an influencer event but more of a corporate event, which is always refreshing to meet people outside the industry.

What I am watching: Amy Schumer has a new Netflix movie out called Kinda Pregnant. It was actually really good! Amy Schumer can be a hit or miss for me, but this one I really enjoyed. It was funny and relatable. As someone who is in their late 30’s who wants to get married and have kids, it can be really hard to see everyone around you do so. I, somewhat, related to Amy’s character– except I would never fake being pregnant. It’s a feel-good, funny movie!

The 3rd season of Netflix’s Full Swing is out and I have been enjoying binge watching it. Full Swing is a seasonal docuseries that follows professional PGA golfers. I enjoy watching golf here and there– mostly just The Masters and going to the Memorial Tournament with my dad. I know who some of the players are, but it’s nice to be introduced to those I haven’t heard of. Even if you are not a fan of golf I think this series would still be enjoyable- you learn a lot about the players and the game.

I started season 2 of Night Agent on Netflix. I am only on episode two, but I think it’s good so far. It’s already action packed and it’s intriguing as to what is happening.

What I bought: I am finally free from my no-shopping February challenge! I did it folks! Now I am a shopping machine. This backfired quickly ha! Anyway, I bought a few new hats for vacation- this canvas hat (cute for gardening and very popular- selling out fast) and this woven hat. Next I bought this floral mini dress for vacation and to wear throughout the summer. Lastly I bought these white ankle strap heels because I wanted new white heels for the summer.

This weekend I have nothing planned. I am excited to relax a little after a busy week. I will go to the bookstore to stock up for vacation, as well as hopefully walk around the Union Square Greenmarket if the weather is nice. Other then that I plan on sleeping in, cleaning my apartment, finishing my current book, and leisurely enjoy the weekend.
