“The happiest people romanticize their life because they know magic exists where they choose to find it”

-Case Kenny

Happy Friday! April continues to rain down on us, which means May will be full of beautiful flowers. I’ve been living in my trench coat and floral baseball cap.

It’s been a busy week here, mostly work related with a few events and gathering of friends. Last weekend I went out to dinner with a few friends for a fun night out. We went to Canto in the West Village. It’s an Italian restaurant. This was my first time there, and hopefully not the last. I thought the food was really good! They have gluten free pasta– and that is a rarity. My only complaint is that the restaurant is a little small, I felt cramped. After dinner we went to Bell Book and Candle for a few drinks- one of our favorite WV joints.

I went back to my usual DanceBody Tuesday morning class. We didn’t learn a new dance, instead went over some of the ones we learned last week. I have a decent grip on the new dances, but still need to practice them. They will probably introduce the “ballet” one this weekend and then another “diva” one (which is what I call certain dance styles they have) later on. I am really enjoying this quarter’s dances!

Wednesday I went uptown to Buru’s UES store to celebrate and check out Fanm Mon. Fanm Mon has the most beautiful floral embroidered items ranging anywhere from wedding guest dresses to cute handbags and more. Fanm Mon is only online, so being able to see the clothing items in person is truly special! They will be in the Buru store until the end of the weekend. The event was lovely! It was nice to meet Sophia, the owner of Fanm Mon. As well as meet other influencers, and to catch up with the ladies of Buru.

What I am watching: It’s Masters week! I like golf; not a big follower but enjoy it here and there. The Masters, however, I really enjoy watching. I like all the traditions, the beautiful scenery of Augusta, and knowing this is a big tournament.

I finally started watching season 2 of The Empress on Netflix. A German historical drama series that is dubbed over in English. It’s the true story of the Empress of Austria, Elisabeth, as she tries to navigate her political and social views compared to her husband’s, Emperor Franz, ruling. I find it both entertaining and educational; right now they are talking about the forming of Italy. If you are like me and enjoy period pieces, then I highly suggest this one!

What I bought: The only thing I personally bought this week was a new book. My book club is finally coming back after a little hiatus. We are meeting in a few weeks and the book of choice is How To Sleep at Night by Elizabeth Harris. I haven’t started it yet, but I do hear great things! Sézane gifted me the cutest floral embroidered basket bag! I have been eyeing this bag forever and I was beyond joyful when they gifted it to me!! I can’t wait to frolic around the city with a bouquet of flowers in it!

Since it’s going to be yet another rainy weekend I think I will spend it mostly indoors relaxing. I have some work stuff I need to get done. I also want to finish my current book and start a new one. Perhaps I will go and buy new flowers. We will see!

Have a wonderful weekend xo
